There are some funny and creative videos around the net relating to ikea generated by passionate consumers, and many are to be found on the web's premier video-sharing site.

This first video appears to be a genuine Ikea TV ad (not shown in the US):



There are a few of these banned ads and user-generated spoofs to be found through a simple 'ikea' keyword search on Digg or YouTube and this is a good way to get such content past prudish American sensors for a company who still trade predominantly in Europe.

Contrast this limited appeal with the madness of Jonathan Coulton's Ikea song and the accompanying (Flickr slideshow-esque) video and even the most cynical of traditional media buyers can't help but at least chuckle and raise an eyebrow at the little Norsemen...



There's also a documentary clip from English TV detailing the history of the company and giving a tour around the 23 story high, 1 km long warehouse in Sweden!
